After consulting with event sponsors, volunteers and supporters; board members of DSCF and event coordinators have decided to postpone the annual May events. Ultimately, we felt it would be inappropriate to delay a decision until shortly before the events and were concerned with our ability to reschedule on such short notice with the busy calendar at the Brunswick Golf Club and for the Hurricanes.
The 11th Annual Golf Tournament that was scheduled to be held on May 16 has been moved to August 15 with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. We are still working on rescheduling the 8th Annual Fiesta and a new date will be announced once it is confirmed.
We appreciate everyone’s continued support and understanding. While we hoped that the May dates would have no challenges, the current global environment dictates that we consider variability in unstable external factors and account for the safety and well being of our supporters.
