Have you been in the reception area at New England Cancer Specialists in Topsham recently? For those of you who have, you may have noticed the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation wall. When New England Cancer Specialists moved to their new space in Topsham, they set aside a wall in the reception area for DSCF.
We wanted to utilize this space to display what we do, who we are and how we help. Placed front and center you definitely cannot miss the photo of Dean Snell Sr.; the person who the foundation was named after and whose memory remains alive through the work of the foundation.
You will find a list of the annual fundraisers that are organized by the foundation, as well as those annual fundraisers that are organized and run by members of the community. On the right half of the wall you will see photos from events. If you look closely, you may find someone that you know.
Remembering those who have lost their battles is always near to our hearts as we have lost many family members and friends to cancer. A memory line was added that displays a few NECS patients who have lost their battles. We were fortunate enough to receive photos from the family members of Louise Caron, Laurie Butler, Seth Helie, Leo Coombs, and Peg Estes.
A big THANK YOU to Paula Jeffries, Clinic Manager at NECS, for helping us get everything hung and keeping things level. Side note...that is Dean's level that she is utilizing.
We will be adding to the wall throughout the year. What do you think of the DSCF wall?
